Discover the Versatility of the Amuflex Flexible Sheath

Designed to facilitate the routing of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic cables on moving equipment, the Amuflex flexible sheath features a spiral steel tube made from flexible galvanized steel, type SV300S, available in rectangular or square sections.

To ensure safe and friction-free contact, a spring steel strip is embedded inside the tube, resting on a self-adhesive synthetic fabric strip that runs along its entire length. This configuration eliminates any risk of internal surface contact, preserving the integrity of the routed cables.

The spring steel strip provides the tube spirals with a preloaded self-supporting structure, ensuring the stability of the sheath even along reversal curves, where spiral compression would typically occur.

The connection between the spiral tube, the spring steel strip, and the flange is mechanically engineered with precision, ensuring optimal robustness and durability over time.

Unlike Systems with External Bonded Strips

Our system is unaffected by the action of liquids and dust, which, combined with stress on the spirals over time, can cause the detachment of the steel strip. Thanks to the internal placement of the strip within the tube, it is shielded from external agents, ensuring greater durability and long-term resistance.

To determine the dimensions of Amuflex sheaths, five key factors must be considered:

Bending radius (R)
Total length
Type of flange
Flange orientation

Amuflex protections are available for a maximum stroke of 8 meters.
For continuous service, it is recommended not to exceed two strokes per minute.

Order Example
Required specifications:
Total stroke: 4 meters
Bending radius: 150 mm
3 cables with a diameter of ø 32 mm

The maximum available length for the protection is 5 meters.
For cantilever lengths exceeding 2.5 meters, an adequate number of support rollers must be provided.
